Two lights, buy and sell,
building up together.
An NZDCAD-only EA that works the New Zealand dollar / Canadian dollar with two separate baskets, one for buys and one for sells. Profit from the sell side supports the periods when the buy side is under water.
* Amounts are estimates: the max DD % (equity-based) applied to the 10,000 USD starting balance (1 USD = 150 JPY).
I'm Captain Pon. This ship sails on two sails, buy and sell. Even in the stormy COVID year it kept its head above water, and all 10 years in the test finished in the green. These are past-data numbers, of course.
Backtest results from the MT5 Strategy Tester (NZDCAD, M5, every tick, $10,000 starting balance, 1:100 leverage, 0.01 starting lot, 2017.01–2026.10.16, swaps included). They do not guarantee future results.
What stands out in the backtest.
Through the heavy market swings of 2020, this setup stayed profitable. It got through the tough stretch.
Yearly results were positive in all 10 years (swaps included).
Max drawdown was 2.88% on balance and 12.15% on equity (including floating losses). That is a level that makes it easier to start with relatively modest capital. Start from the minimum 0.01 lot.
Most exits finished within the first few steps. Closing on the very first position was the most common result.
Buys only: +$2,292 (max DD 14.5%). Buys and sells: +$4,088 (max DD 12.2%). Same period, same conditions.
The design principles behind DUAL AURORA.
Buy and sell baskets are managed independently, each with its own settings. A move against one side doesn't stop the other.
Spacing widens with each step. Tuned separately for each side.
Judged from the average price across all positions. Tuned separately for buys and sells.
Averaging is held back while a counter-trend is strong.
Adjusts entries near recent highs and lows, and pauses entries around rollover and on certain dates.
The basket is closed when the floating loss reaches a set share of the balance. The number of steps is capped.
The live status of the account the seller actually runs.
Here's how things look out at sea. The numbers arrive a few minutes late. When we're carrying a floating loss, we show that too.
| Side | Lots | Entry | Opened | P/L |
|---|
| Closed | Side | Lots | P/L |
|---|
Realized P/L per day () and number of closes. Floating P/L is not included.
Times are the broker's server time. These are results from this account and do not guarantee the same results in your account.
Planned averaging: spacing, lot size and limits are all decided in advance.
It does three things. It manages buys and sells separately, adds at set distances when price moves against it, and follows as far as the move goes when price comes back.
The deeper the move against you, the wider the next spacing. It doesn't rush to add deep into a move.
A move against one side doesn't stop the other.
The decision is based on P/L from the average price. The first position and the deepest add close at the same time.
When the floating loss reaches a set share of the balance, everything is closed. The exit rule is fixed from the start.
Run straight through from January 2017 to October 2026 with a $10,000 starting balance (swaps included).
What matters most in an averaging EA is that the exit rules are set from the start.

Both plans are free for the first 30 days. One subscription covers one account.

Three steps from sign-up to running.
On the payment page, enter the MT4/MT5 account number that will run the EA.
On the Setup guide page, download the MT4 or MT5 version.
If you're logged in with the registered account, it authenticates automatically and starts running.
If the move against you continues, the floating loss grows. DUAL AURORA has a step cap, a balance-linked stop-out, and trend filters that hold back averaging during counter-trends. Even so, the risk is never zero.
With buys only, floating losses grow in falling markets. Adding sells increased profit and reduced drawdown in the backtest.
It is tuned for NZDCAD only and does not run on other charts.
Backtests were run on MT5. The MT4 version follows the same logic, but results vary with platform, broker and history data.
The test uses a 0.01 starting lot. A larger lot scales the stop-out loss just as it scales profit. Decide how much loss you can accept first.
It can. Real spreads, swaps, execution delays and slippage change the results. We recommend checking on a demo account or the minimum lot first.
Yes. Each EA is a separate subscription. On one account, give them different magic numbers. Floating losses can grow on several EAs at once, so leave plenty of margin.
After the 30-day free period, the plan you chose is charged automatically. Cancel during the free period and you won't be charged.
The subscription management page lets you cancel at any time. After you cancel, the EA stops opening new trades once the paid period ends.
Take a look at the other ships too. You can compare them on the top page.
