Spacing that stretches
with the size of the swings.
A step-by-step averaging EA with a trailing stop, designed only for gold (XAUUSD). Averaging distance and trailing widths follow market volatility, and a higher-timeframe trend check switches between buy and sell entries.
I'm Captain Pon. Gold's waves change size all the time, so this ship reads the waves and adjusts its spacing. About 9 in 10 trades were winners, and the last few years have been strong.
Backtest results from the MT5 Strategy Tester (GOLD_USD, every tick, $10,000 starting balance, 1:100 leverage, fixed 0.01 starting lot, 2021.01.01–2026.10.15). They do not guarantee future results.
What stands out in the backtest.
2024: +$749, 2025: +$1,492, 2026 (through October): +$805. The last three years add up to +$3,046.
254 of 281 trades ended in profit. It builds up gains in small, steady steps.
Even with gold's big swings, the balance-based max drawdown stayed at 12.3%. You can start from the minimum 0.01 lot.
Wider spacing in volatile periods, tighter in calm ones, automatically.
The design principles behind GOLDEN ECLIPSE.
Spacing follows how much the market is moving, avoiding the "too tight / too wide" problem of fixed spacing.
Rising, ranging or falling is judged on a higher timeframe. Sell entries appear only in falling markets.
While the higher-timeframe trend is strong against you, averaging in that direction stops.
Once profit from the average price reaches the threshold, the exit line starts following. Both widths follow volatility.
Stop-out is tied to the balance, and the number of steps is capped. It is designed not to chase losses.
Can pause trading around major US economic releases.
The live status of the account the seller actually runs.
Here's how things look out at sea. The numbers arrive a few minutes late. When we're carrying a floating loss, we show that too.
| Side | Lots | Entry | Opened | P/L |
|---|
| Closed | Side | Lots | P/L |
|---|
Realized P/L per day () and number of closes. Floating P/L is not included.
Times are the broker's server time. These are results from this account and do not guarantee the same results in your account.
Planned averaging: spacing, lot size and limits are all decided in advance.
It only does two things. When price moves against it, it adds at a distance that matches the swing size. When price comes back, it follows as far as the move goes.
The deeper the move against you, the wider the next spacing. It doesn't rush to add deep into a move.
Buy and sell baskets are managed independently, each with its own settings. A move against one side doesn't stop the other.
The decision is based on P/L from the average price. The first position and the deepest add close at the same time.
When the floating loss reaches a set share of the balance, everything is closed. The exit rule is fixed from the start.
Run straight through from 2021 to October 2026 with a $10,000 starting balance. The first trades were in October 2021.
What matters most in an averaging EA is that the exit rules are set from the start.

Three steps from sign-up to running.
On the payment page, enter the MT4/MT5 account number that will run the EA.
On the Setup guide page, download the MT5 version.
If you're logged in with the registered account, it authenticates automatically and starts running.
If the move against you continues, the floating loss grows. GOLDEN ECLIPSE limits that risk with a step cap, a balance-linked stop-out, averaging stops during counter-trends and limits on new entries from the trend check.
MT5 only. The volatility-linked logic, the trend check and the news filter are built for MT5.
Only while the trend check says "falling". While rising or ranging, it buys only.
It is tuned for gold only. On symbols without "XAU" or "GOLD" in the name, it shows a warning and stops.
The test uses a 0.01 starting lot. A larger lot scales the stop-out loss just as it scales profit. Decide how much loss you can accept first.
It can. Real spreads, swaps, execution delays and slippage change the results. We recommend checking on a demo account or the minimum lot first.
Yes. Each EA is a separate subscription. On one account, give them different magic numbers. Floating losses can grow on several EAs at once, so leave plenty of margin.
After the 30-day free period, the plan you chose is charged automatically. Cancel during the free period and you won't be charged.
The subscription management page lets you cancel at any time. After you cancel, the EA stops opening new trades once the paid period ends.
Take a look at the other ships too. You can compare them on the top page.
